You should know I'm sitting writing this post from a super swanky hotel room in Vegas. I just finished my first of three Mastermind weekends with Bedros. My head

is exploding. This guy has easily added $20,000 to my personal training business and $40,000 to my Boot Camp in the last year. This is just for me – a one woman show. If you run a studio or have employees, these numbers would be exponentially higher. I CANNOT imagine where my business would be without Bedros. In all actuality, I may not have a business without him. I may have walked away from my business, my baby, 2 years ago. I could be a dental hygienist. GROSS!

Instead, I've just had my two most successful consecutive quarters after 7.5 years in business. The momentum just doesn't stop. I'm on track to make 50% more this year than last, even though I'm working at least 25% less hours with clients. While the numbers are important and make me feel really good, what I am most proud of is that I am a KICKASS business owner. In the summer of 2009 I was online searching for fitness marketing information. And I came across some content from a guy named Bedros Keuilian. While I wasn’t familiar with Bedros prior to this I recognized a number of people doing guest posts on his blogs. I've only been an active member of Bedros' 100K Mastermind group for a little over week. Regardless, the program has done wonders for my business. Other members will be able to tell you stories about how they went from making $1K every month to making $10K+. While this is fantastic, it skips over what ever single person faces when starting a business...actually getting started. 

I've followed Bedros from afar for quite sometime, in a "non-stalker" kind of way I swear. Learning a little bit with every blog post he wrote and linked to was great, but it didn't start my business. Eventually I grew a pair and took my first step by signing up for his Fitness Info Blueprint. My rationale was that it wouldn't hurt to have a group to learn from and maybe the peer pressure would force me to finally take action.

Included in that was a 1-day seminar on the tail end of one of his Mastermind meetings in Vegas. It was there that I talked with a few of the people already in the Mastermind group and they sold me before Bedros even had a chance to mention there were some spots available. When it came time to sign up I couldn't fill out the application fast enough.

We always hear that you're the average of your five closest friends. And regardless of what you think, peer pressure and competition will always increase your drive to succeed. By joining the Mastermind, these three "truths" were taken care of. My goals and business ideas are no longer secluded to the few I choose to tell.

They are common knowledge among the group, so if I were to fail, they all know. On top of that, I get to bounce ideas and questions off of people who have been there and done that. As a new member of Bedros and Craig’s 100k Mastermind group, I was not sure what to expect.  I had been in other groups that were very helpful, but in a general way.  This group is different from the moment I entered the meeting, I was surrounded by colleagues who radiated a spirit of giving.  After a few moments I knew that they were merely reflecting what Bedros projects.

Although I filled a notebook with loads of content from the two day meeting which came from both brainstorming with other members, presentations by Bedros, Craig and the weekend’s special guest Paul Reddick (someone I have wanted to meet for a couple of years, but have never had the opportunity).  Sounds a little overwhelming doesn’t it?  I like to have an action plan. We all have to take action steps to achieve our goals right?  Well, how do you know which steps to take to reach your destination?

Just wanted to let you know the impact your 21-day Business Makeover Mastermind has had on my business and me personally.

I decided to attend the makeover mastermind with one chief objective in mind: to streamline my current sales & new client start up process so that I could sell larger packages, and sell them much more easily.

New prospects get started with us with a 7-day free trial where they can attend as many CrossFit classes as they would like in a 7-day period. Prior to attending I was closing 70% of trials on day 4, 5, 6, or 7. Very rarely was I closing anyone before day 4. Additionally, about half of our new sign ups were opting for month to month and the other half for longer terms at a much discounted rate.

My 70% close rate isn't bad at all, and could certainly improve, however, it was coming at a steep cost. There were over 10 steps I had to take with each person (the way I was implementing the 7-day trial process before) to insure I closed the deal. As you can imagine as my leads increased each month so did my "overhead" with keeping up with everyone. Where I would often sign up 100% of everyone in one week, the following week, due to burnout, I would only sign up 50% or less even though I might be working harder or longer. This was leading to burnout, fatigue, and was limiting my potential while killing my productivity.

My first week after returning from the 21-Day Business Makeover Mastermind, I:

1.) significantly raised my rates (did this on day 1)
2.) signed up 100% of all of my new 7-day trial folks on their 1st day! (this alone greatly reduced my workload and is easily worth 10x the cost of the mastermind to me! But, please don't re-run my credit card :)
3.) enrolled 95% of the sign ups in my longest term program instead of the month to month

Not only did I achieve my chief objective, I haven't even begun to implement any of the new list building and client getting strategies you shared with us, so I am excited about the potential I have over the coming months from that alone!

I am looking forward to future mastermind events as I continue to grow myself personally and develop my business.

Oh, and I think I got a "good mojo" bonus out of the mastermind.

Literally the day I got back, the Lacrosse coach from the largest, most affluent high school in my area dropped in (because he drove by and saw us) and signed up his entire team for a 7-week Strength and Conditioning program that starts next month. But get this......the school is paying for the program and the amount they are paying? The EXACT amount, including expenses, that I paid to attend the mastermind. The cool part is that even though the mastermind was a stretch for me financially, I just KNEW that I was going to get the money back right away! The coach and I are very excited to work together, he has a business with a marketing background and has pledged to generate a lot of publicity for us.
